The install determines
how it performs.

A good window installed poorly will leak, draft, and fail within years. H&W installs precisely — air-sealed, level, flashed, and warrantied. Not just the product. The installation itself.

Precise installation. Warrantied results.

We install windows and doors with the attention to air sealing, leveling, and trim finish that determines whether they perform for 20 years — or fail in five.

Window Replacement

Retrofit and full-frame replacement windows installed precisely — proper air sealing, flashing, and trim finish included. Product-agnostic: we work with your chosen brand.

Patio & Sliding Door Installation

Sliding glass and multi-panel patio doors installed level, plumb, and properly sealed. Correct installation prevents rack, sticking, and draft — every time.

Entry Door Replacement

Front and back entry doors installed with proper weatherstripping, threshold fitting, and hardware — for security, energy efficiency, and curb appeal that lasts.

Energy-Efficient Window Upgrades

Colorado's climate demands low U-factors and appropriate SHGC ratings. We help you choose right for your exposure — and can guide you through Xcel Energy rebate eligibility.

Storm Door Installation

Storm doors installed correctly — properly aligned with the existing frame, adjusted for season, and sealed against Colorado's weather.

New Construction Installs

Rough-opening window and door installation for new builds and additions. Reliable sub-contractor relationship with GCs who need a precision installer they can count on.

The window is only as good as the installation.

Every window company sells you on U-factors, gas fills, and glass coatings. None of them talk about what happens after the product arrives — whether it's leveled properly, air-sealed correctly, flashed against water intrusion, and trimmed clean.

A good window in a poor install will draft, allow moisture infiltration, and underperform its rating within years. That's not a product failure — it's an installation failure. And most warranties don't cover it.

  • Proper air sealing at the rough opening — not just caulk on the outside
  • Level and plumb fitment within the opening tolerance
  • Flashing membrane applied before exterior trim
  • Interior trim fit and painted clean — no gaps, no caulk-over-caulk shortcuts
  • Final inspection before we leave: operation, lock, seal integrity

Our Commitment

"We warrant the installation — not just the product. If a performance issue is caused by how it was installed, we own that. No fine print. No blame-shifting."

H&W installs to a standard we can stand behind for years. Ask for our installation warranty terms at your consultation.

The installer who treats installation as the craft

Installation warranty

We warrant the installation itself — not just the product. If it was installed wrong, we own the outcome.

Educated choice

We explain U-factors, SHGC, and frame materials in plain language so you choose right — not just whatever the salesperson pushed.

Colorado expertise

UV exposure, freeze-thaw cycling, temperature swings, Front Range hail — we install for what Colorado's climate actually demands.

No pressure, no sales tactics

This is a high-consideration purchase. We consult, we answer, we let you decide. No urgency manufacturing, ever.

Front Range conditions demand more from an installation

Colorado's climate creates specific performance demands that most out-of-state or franchise installers haven't accounted for.

UV Exposure

High altitude means significantly more UV intensity. Proper glazing selection matters for fade protection and long-term seal performance.

Temperature Swings

80° in a day isn't unusual on the Front Range. Frames and flashing must accommodate expansion and contraction without compromising the air seal.

Freeze-Thaw Cycling

Any moisture intrusion will expand and contract with freeze-thaw cycles — accelerating damage rapidly. Correct flashing is non-negotiable here.

Xcel Energy Rebates

Colorado homeowners may qualify for Xcel Energy rebates on qualifying energy-efficient window replacements. We'll help you understand what's eligible.

What most homeowners ask

We focus on installation — which is our differentiator. We can help you source product and work with any qualified manufacturer, or install product you've already purchased. The conversation always starts with what performance you need, not what brand we're pushing.
Our warranty covers the installation itself — air sealing, fitment, flashing, and trim work. If a performance issue (drafting, moisture intrusion, operational failure) is attributable to how it was installed rather than the product itself, we own that. Specific terms are provided in writing at the time of installation. Ask about them at your consultation.
For Colorado's climate, we generally recommend a U-factor at or below 0.30 for good thermal performance. SHGC depends on your window orientation — south-facing windows benefit from lower SHGC to control solar heat gain in summer; north-facing windows can be higher. We'll give you specific guidance based on your home's orientation during the consultation.
Yes. Xcel Energy offers rebates for qualifying energy-efficient window replacements in Colorado. Eligibility depends on product specifications and your current windows. We'll walk you through what qualifies and help you document the installation for the rebate application.
Permit requirements vary by municipality and project type. We'll clarify what's required for your specific job during the consultation and handle permitting where applicable. Ask about this at your free consultation.
Yes. Window and door condition shows up in buyer walkthroughs and inspection reports — drafts, sticking doors, failed seals, and visible deterioration all affect perception and negotiation. We handle replacements that resolve these issues before listing. If you're preparing a property for sale, contact us early enough to complete the install before photos and showings.

The window performs the way it's supposed to. We make sure of it.
